Cinquantenaire Palace

An architectural discovery in a green environment

This building was built to mark the 50th anniversary of Belgium’s birth as an independent nation.

It houses 3 museums: the Army and Military History Museum, the Cinquantenaire Museum, and Autoworld (an exhibition of cars from all eras).

The Parc du Cinquantenaire is the second most important park in Brussels.

It is a particularly busy place, especially because of its proximity to the European Union buildings. Workers like to go there for lunch.

The park is not particularly lively, like the Park of Brussels, but when visiting the area, you can stop to contemplate the many statues present on the site.
